Default Chinese book - pin yin and alphabet

I am interested in getting the Chinese books for my children, aged 5 and 8. I am Chinese myself, but my kids were born and raised in English environment. They speak and understand very little Chinese, and I eager to get the Chinese language homeschooling to action. My questions are

    1) Are the books suitable for English speaking child?
    2) Will pin yin affect their alphabet learning? or how to avoide the confusion?
    3) Is there any instruction books for teacher/parent to follow with?

    Thank you very much!

    1) There is no English in the books. Kind of like a first reader here in the US would have only English in it.
    2) Pin yin is, I think, simplified characters, and they do not look anything line the English alphabet and so I don't think there is confusion.
    3) Do you know pin yin? Any teacher material is entirely written in pin yin. You would have to special order it by contacting customerservice@singaporemath.com . No returns, then.
