    Default Mixtures

Here is a problem for you algebra lovers.

    Background Information:
Orange juice is 100% pure orange juice. In contrast, orange drink often has some orange juice with additional ingredients like water, sugar, corn sweetener, etc.

    Problem:
A caterer has 10 liters of orange drink with an unknown percent of orange juice as one of its ingredients.

She adds 2 liters of pure orange juice to the mixture and stirs it well.

A waiter draws off 4 liters of this new mixture and serves it to the guests.

Finally, the caterer adds an additional 10 liters of orange drink with a 20% concentration of orange juice to the punch bowl and stirs it well.

The final mixture in the bowl is now 1/3 orange juice and 2/3 other ingredients.

What was the percent of orange juice in the original 10 liters of orange drink?
