Challenging Word Problems

Challenging Word Problems is going out of print. This will be the last year that we can get any to sell. We will try to find something appropriate to replace them with.

How long will CWP be available? Would I be able to order them say in June, or should I order them now?

We will have stocks for most levels through summer but level 3 will be out before the summer is over. Sorry, that is the best estimate I can give, not knowing how many orders we will get.

We get sent various supplementary books, and I have yet to see one as challenging as CWP, except for another called Problem Solving the Systematic Way that we carried for a while until it, too, went out of print. It seems that math gets easier and easier everywhere. Or possibly there is a change in direction and emphasis, whether for good or ill. Keep in mind that CWP is quite challenging, sometimes a bit more than it needs to be, but it does make it a great learning tool, if your student can learn to be persistent in problem solving. All the problems can be solved using the same grade level math skills, it is just the problem solving skills required that make it challenging.

We are looking for a replacement. It won't be the same thing, because that the publishers are discontinuing it.
